Who We Are
Dr. Marie Martin
Marie has a 20-year career as an educator and instructional designer, specializing in equity-based curriculum development and education 4.0. She’s renowned for her research on fourth industrial revolution technologies and digital learning.
As an educator, Marie was named Teacher of the Year 2013 internationally and 2018-2019 in the US for her teaching practices and school-wide program implementations of Social Emotional Learning
and Project-Based Learning.
As an instructional designer, Marie has designed curriculum and learning experiences challenging status quo design within several corporate and government entities including Microsoft, U.S. Army, and Albert Whitman Children's Publishing. Dr. Martin received her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Charles Martin
Charles has 20-year career as an educator and instructional designer specializing in future technology and curriculum design. Charles' research is rooted in blended learning, second language acquisition, and artificial intelligence.
As a former teacher and administrator, Dr. Martin made sure that teachers within his school were trained on technology and which included Google certification as early as 2016.
As an instructional designer, Charles has also designed learning experiences for Microsoft, UCLA, Age of Learning, and U.S. Army. He has helped create technology curriculum for Cell Collective, a digital biotechnology simulation platform, ABC Mouse, Edward Jones finance platform, and SkillingIt. Charles received his doctorate in
Educational Technology from the University of Florida.
